Soho is an awe-inspiring personalised day out for intermediate to advanced skiers and boarders.
Arrive at the base for your induction with our experienced, welcoming team, then ride a snowcat up to your first run and ease into the day. Soho Basin provides terrain for riders of all types, from wide-open rolling slopes to steeper chutes.
As the day progresses, adventurous skiers and riders can explore more challenging terrain, with our team of guides introducing you to the best lines and snow.
MOUNTAIN DINING EXPERIENCE BY AMISFIELD
The Soho Basin experience is paired with equally incredible food and wine by Amisfield.
Lunch showcases the very best of Central Otago produce through a menu of local, seasonal ingredients. This is paired with Amisfield wines and a range of beers and other beverages. After your last runs, après ski drinks and snacks are served to close out the day.
If you’d like to continue into the evening, we have the option to book for a Private Dining experience at the award-winning Amisfield Restaurant at Lake Hayes.
SOHO BASIN TERRAIN
Soho Basin is a private ski area on the southerly aspect of Mt Cardrona in the Southern Alps of New Zealand.
Soho Basin is adjacent to Cardrona Alpine Resort and overlooks the spectacular scenery of the Wakatipu Basin and beyond to the peaks of the Main Divide. The skiing terrain goes from 1425m to 1925m altitude.
We have wide open slopes, chutes and rarely explored ungroomed zones. You can ride with our staff or select your own lines. As the day progresses, adventurous skiers can explore more challenging terrain, with our team introducing you to the best lines and deepest powder.
The Soho Basin ski area provides terrain suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders. The great thing about cat skiing is the day is yours – you can go as fast or as slow as you like and our team are circulating within the area to advise and assist.
Once at the bottom of the run, just climb on board the cat for another ride up. Soho Basin is the perfect environment for you to enjoy and improve your off-piste skiing or riding without pressure - no rush, no queues.
